Today was my first day of work at my newest Coro placement, which is always pretty exciting. I’m at a firm called Diverse Strategies for Organizing as my ‘business’ placement, and it’s a pretty sweet one. DSO could probably be best classified as a public affairs consulting firm, with a heavy dose of community relations and a little PR. They essentially specialize in getting their clients- which range from LAUSD to the CA Air Resources Board to PhRMA- in touch with real people, particularly the Latino community in LA.
I get to spend the next 3-4 weeks there, which I’m pretty stoked about. Check their website to explore a little more about their work… its pretty neat stuff.
